Dr. Ovamir Anjum is the Imam Khattab Endowed Chair and Professor of Islamic Studies at the Department of Philosophy and Religious Studies at the University of Toledo, co-editor of the American Journal of Islam and Society, and Editor-in-chief for the review board at the Yaqeen Institute. His work focuses on the nexus of theology, ethics, politics and law in Islam, with comparative interest in Western Thought. He was appointed by the Mufti and Dar al-Fatwa of Lebanon as
his Representative. He was previously Associate Professor at King’s International University.
